I would like your opnions on this. I dont drive my car everyday, and i would like to run the stickiest set of front tires i can get in this size. I think i might be able to go a little wider if i have to. Here are the sizes i could use in order of inportance. 225/45 or 40/17.....235/45 or 40/17. So let me have. Price is not a matter. I would like to know the best performing tire.
Re: Whats the best track/street tires i can get in 225/45/17's. (Bundaho)
Bridgestone Potenza SO2 have worked very well for me both on the street AND on the track. The new SO3's are supposed to be even better. I will be getting a set of SO3's in the spring. They come in 225/45/17.

I found these RE730's to be an awsome tire, in the corners they just won't break loose and there great in the rain too. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/bridgestone/bs_re730.jsp
Couse the Pole positions suggested are prolly even better at a higher price.

You have a few to choose from:
So3, Pilot Sport, BFG KD, and the new Kumho. Do NOT get the 730 if you want an ultimate performance tire. I've driven the PSport and SO3.....a toss up in my book...edge to the S03....KD is awesome in dry on friends car. New kumho is unknown. Falken Azensis is the rumored hotty of the month....
