Dinan's a company that makes aftermarket parts for BMW's...except they're backed by a factory warrentee, if you get the dealer to install it. They have pretty much everything for a BMW...exhaust, intake, suspension, supercharger, chip, etc etc. Interesting thing about the badge: you can't buy one...You have to order a certain number of things before they give you one. I think you need 10 points, and for example, an exhaust is like 4 points, an intake is 3 points, suspension 3 points, and you have to add up to 10 before they give you a badge. Which is why you see them going on ebay for up to $200. Good company that makes good parts, but they're so freaking expensive. I would never buy anything from them. Their exhaust for the M3 is $995!! Sure, its a great piece of work, but others that are just as good are out there. But if you want factory backed stuff, there's no other place to get it from. I have no idea if I answered your question, but hope it helped!

well you certainly answered my question. The Dinan i saw was simply jaw dropping. body kit, exhaust, NICE rims etc. I was near Pebble Beach when i saw it so one can prolly guessed why. I tailgated it for a whole 3 miles just to admire it.

Dinan= expensive.... I had an airflow meter, throttlebody, software, Carbon CAI (that runs right down into the bumper intake...so if you went through a big puddle, your F*d)- but it looked great, springs (didn't do the overpriced Folgers Coffee can exhaust, went Triflo)...that stuff cost almost $6k including install. I still didn't have enough points to get the Dinan badge, so I had to bribe my salesman with $$$.

It added a descent amount of performance, was it worth the $$$.....absolutely not.
Unfortunately, I only have regular printed photos.

dinan = one of the few good turbo kits for the E36, also the only company with BMW Auto tranny chips (for the auto tranny ECU, not the engine ECU)

I think i'd go active autowerke for any FI in an m3. Their turbo packages look so good. I really would like to get a 95 m3 a few years down the line.

Actually, Dinan makes quality supercharger kits. The best place for an E36 turbo is Active Autowerkes. http://www.aatuning.com

Dinan has a great reputation of making well tuned modified suspensions. The reason I went with a Dinan suspension on my car was because it has a minimal drop (5/8" in front) and with the adjustable Konis set to a moderate setting, the ride is still very good. Meanwhile, you can still crank up the Konis and take the car to the track.
I like the idea of buying a fully sorted suspension rather than trying to play mix and match with parts from different companies.

Don't forget all said and done, the Dinan Supercharger (which is Vortech if I remember correctly)....is $5,995, you need the Dinan warranty thats $2000, the fuel correction device is $320 or so, and install at your Dinan dealer- you are looking at approx $10k total (you also need the Statge II clutch, which is $2,441 plus install)....now your around $14k.
The owner of the dealer where I did all my upgrades, did up an Mroadster with everything in it for people to test out who are buying Dinan mods......it was very nice, but I wouldn't spend the extra money on the SC (what I felt and what everything costs just didn't add up).

I guess I don't have to tell you this, but if you're going FI in a BMW, it'll be expensive. AA turbo kits are $10k and $13k, I think. Too rich for my blood. I love VW supercharger kits that are like $3k or so.
