I have seen it a few times, on one track day where it ran 2-3 laps before it broke down. On a drag race where it ran 2-3 runs and on the last run I think it was the gearbox that broke, and I think he had borrowed an old IMSA box from Audi!

there is a shop here in my hometown whos vw is in the guinness(sp?) book .....ive seen it run before

There's a guy in the US that does 7.6 1/4 in a VR6. I'll try to get his name later. Also in PR a guy has a RWD Corrado that did 7.5 1/4
