Typically it NEVER goes above 226 but WHen I do say, 9 HOT LAPS on the 1.8 mile road course it reaches that high. Does my car have an oiler cooler at all?

got you all beat, I had some kids vr6 up to 320F doing a high speed run for about 20 miles one way and then 20 miles back, and the poop never smoked so well after that! Of course the kid never knew we did that run but hey he finally sold the car, haha!!!!
I'll drink to that
that poop was done in a 1993 corrado

292 on Thunderhill track with a heat soaked/power robbing 1st gen Z-eng. S/C. Never been above 254 with my turbo, even on a steep grade at 100mph in 115 degree heat.

This turbo runs real cool. (with turbo wrap that is
)

Had a 93 Corrado VR6 in the middle of summer hit 320+ degrees. A relay fuse under the hood blew and kept the radiator fan from working. Motor got so hot it was predetinating the fuel and shut down the motor.

this summer at the streets of willow, i'd hit 305 and then i'd come in. it'd only take about 5-7 hard laps to do this, but it was 110F that day. car ran beautiful and didn't use any oil. almost 100 miles of track that day. ruined my tires though

I hit 266 at Summit Point at the end of the straightaway.
I've never gone over 234 on the highway, and that was when i was really pushing the car.
You'll be fine hitting 272 here and there, as long as you're using synthetic.

I hit 270-280F REGULARLY durring track days at Lime Rock and Watkins
Glen in the summertime. Once in a while over 280F.
Just give the car time to cool down, i.e. keep driving it until temp
goes down. Don't run it up to 280 then shut it off immediately.
Change your oil more often if you run those temps. I use 15-50 mobil 1
all year. (I don't drive it in bad weather, gotta beater
)
Maintain the car...fresh coolant, fresh oil, fresh plugs, clean filter(s)...
and you'll have no REAL problems running that hot. I am installing
an oil cooler over the winter, I suggest you do the same if you are seeing
temps over 250F often.
MY Rule of thumb: Don't worry until you go over 300F. When you do hit 300
just back off a little.
