Re: Whats the master cylinder size on 89 cabby? (tlaskows)

20mm up to 1989, 22 from 1990 on.
Sasponline.com has good prices on the 1989 20mm: http://catalog.eautopartscatal...inder
I have considered the larger 22mm MC but not sure about how the feel will be affected. Plus they are over twice the price: http://catalog.eautopartscatal...5+001*-

That's not entirely correct. The only cars to receive a 22mm are the 16v cars with 256mm front and 236 rear discs.
All cabs got the 20mm. Later ones got a bigger brake booster but that's all.
And FIY, the 22mm on a standard cab will result in super heavy pedal with no feedback. Its all about hydraulics really

Yah, i didn't think cabbies had a 22mm MC. My breaks are shot (next thing to fix) they break so low that they almost failed on me once!
I'm doing a G60 break swap tho, with a 22mm MC. Should be a bit better.
