What's with my idle?

I just bought my G60 and I love it. I am now in the process of fixing all the problems it has. The car always starts fine on the first try and then idles at 1200 which I know is too high. Then if you rev up the car the idle doesn't come back down, it stays in around 2000. My first thought was that the throtle cable is stuck, but that is not it. What should I do?

probibley just the idle skrew, unplug the blue temp sensor and adjust the skrew in the back of the throttle body untill its at about 8k rpm's.
