Re: wheel hop question? (Salio 23)

ecstuning.com has some. BFI has some good ones too. Look for the street ones I think because there softer so you don't rattle everything in your car. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Thanks, I'll check them out.
I can't locate BFI. I have checked BFI engineering and BFI motor sports. Where exactly can I find these folks?

the one i had was mad by yarrowsport but they don't make it anymore
it waas adjustable where you could move the engine foward or back by making the mount longer or shorter and it was solid no inserts at all IT WAS COMPLETELY SOLID

Holy shat.........surprised you didn't get kidney failure rolling around town...
Anybody tried the solid upper mounts with adjustment or the spherical control arms?

Solid uppers aren't going to be much worse, I had them on another car. I don't think you need sphericals on the control arms, poly is just fine. The mounts+ dogbone are most of the hop anyway.

Re: wheel hop question? (themachasy)

I have the Prothane bushings.
They are some of the stiffiest ones you can buy as far as I know, something like 85A I believe.
I have the dogbone insert, along with the control arms inserts.
Works really well.

Yep...got the same...I don't like them because they're too stiff.
They work great though.
Looking toi get something in-between Prothane and stock.

Are you talking about the Prothane dogbone inserts being to stiff?

If so would the ECS type be a candidate or are these the same material?

Check this out for stiffness ratings

I have the Prothane inserts. I'm changing them out for the INA street density mount this weekend (they are not on this list, but are a stiffer rubber, not poly). The Prothane mounts work well, but in the winter the rattles/vibrations are amplified and I want something a little more liveable.
