Cool post. I'm looking for 16 inch rims for my MkIII, and I'm pretty set on the BBS RX, although the SSR Integral looks tempting due to the light weight. I think I prefer the center of the wheel to be more "filled in" with more not less spokes, however. The RC is too expensive and I think a little too wide (7.5") for the MkIII fender well.
The only thing I'm really disliking about the 16" is the lack of tire choice. There's one HP A/S choice (Pirelli P7000 SS) and very few seem to like it. Although I've been through 3 winters here in NC on summer tires (Sumitomo HTR-Z) with almost no problems.
