When your diff went what are some of the more common/interesting symptoms? (VR6)

I have had a wobble for the better part of a VERY frustrating 3 months, the entire front end later in parts my wobble lives on and having a friend drive it yesterday made it feel like it was RIGHT under my feet...possibly self machining diff?

I know your tired of this problem I just NEED to fix this before I get angry and sell it

It's always possible but it doesn't sound like it.

When my diff was on it's last leg (8v tranny) it would occasionally bind from a stop. I would move forward like a foot and all the sudden the car would bounce back to where it had just been resting. did that untill I chewede up what ever was in there. It happened a few times before It finally called it quits.
You could dissconnect the axles and try to wobble the output flanges by hand to check for excessive play.

I will check for shavings tonight...I am just beside myself with this at this point
