I need technical information on Alpine's M-Bus Protocol for CD Changers. This includes protocol details and pinouts. Ai-bus info would be nice as well. Any links would be appreciated.
Thanks

And I really dont want to waste too much time reverse engineering the protocol.

I would guess that he is trying to control an mp3 player using the ai-net or m-bus protocols...

And the winner is: xkwizit http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
I know this has been attempted before but it was the first Idea my group members have agreed upon that is feasible. So, how about the M-bus protocol?
I dont think I will touch Ai-Net, I was just curious how that one worked.

The best I could do would be to probably see if my manual has the pinouts for the M-bus. But I am going to a GTG after work so it will have to wait.

That would be great thank you. Are you referring to your owners manual or a service manual? I have been looking for the protocol information. Not too much luck finding info on the M-bus. I hope someone can give me the details.
I will publish all my work and findings if anyone would like to build their own.
