Re: Where do you put the fuel pressure gauge? (German Muscle)
Most of the sender's(electric) come with 1/8" NPT threads and seeing as the fuel rail bolt is ~5mm, is this adapter/reducer easily found?(5mm male to 1/8" female)
Re: Where do you put the fuel pressure gauge? (vr6go)
i just put a fuel line over the fuel rail port, then got an adapter for the fuel gauge(i cant remember maybe 1/8 to 1/4, just check to see what fits the fuel line the best). and mounted the fuel pressure gauge on the end of the black metal in the front left corner of the engine bay ill post a couple pictures in a few hours cause i gotta run.
Re: Where do you put the fuel pressure gauge? (German Muscle)
Thanks for the pics. That makes sense now. I want to buy a fuel pressure gauge soon but not sure if I should get one and mount it in the interior(electric) or a mechanical in the engine bay. I was thinking about the Autometer ATM-4309 since it's not outrageously priced. Do you think it'd be worthwhile with one inside the car or not really needed too much after initial tuning? I know the mechanicals are cheaper so that's one advantage.
Re: Where do you put the fuel pressure gauge? (vr6go)
for a cleaner install I took my grill/ headlight out and mounted the gauge firmly to the frame rail them replaced all parts
you cant see its there and it works
I'm happy with it
