Oh yeah... its the wireless keyfob fcc module thats white.
Whats silver then?

93-95 silver, 96/7 black, 98/9 white keyless. cruise control is silver on all years.

Silver is the part that never works. Cruise Control module.
The easy way to get it out is to:
1: remove rebar under the steering wheel.
2: remove screen under the fusebox
3: drop fusebox (while at it look for a yellow connection or cable behind fuse box and disable your drl the correct way)
4: remove blank plastic part on the left of the headlight switch
5: push pin on left hand side of switch with a flat screw driver and remove the headlight switch.
6: unplug alarm module
7: Remove 10mm nut that holds the base and gide it down.
