It's under the transmission. You have to pull the engine to replace it. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

edit: nice battery tie down and coolant ... you may want to do something about those.

no mention of the PVC pipe of a "cold air intake" hell, at least throw a 45* bend in there and put the air filter behind the bumper

why you people go ape **** over VW coolant is stupid. its all the same ****. as long as you dont mix types it doesnt make a goddamn difference. As long as it is a quality brand, and has the characteristics to match the climate G11 means NOTHING.

That was kind of what I was getting on to without blowing a head gasket,

Re: FV-QR (Jason_Reuben)

go grab a bottle of Prestone and a bottle of G12 or G11 and look at the contents. the green coolant does not contain the corrosion inhibitors that G12 has. it does however contain like 2 or 3 sodium based ingredients. sodium = salt. the green coolant can cause corrosion on the internals of our engines. i have seen this first hand. most of you who run the green prolly don't have any problems because you don't keep it in there long enough. but even if you don't have problems with it, the difference ingredients list alone is enough to make me want to stick with the stock stuff.
