Hey guys,
Which Bay Area dealer do you recommend for purchase and service? I'm in the market for a '02 VR6/24v GTI and looking for info from your experiences with any Bay Area dealer.
Thanx!

Re: Which Bay Area dealer? (jfost)

I have bought 3 VW in the past 4 years from Carlsen Motor Cars in Palo Alto, they also sell Audi and Porsche. They are a little more of a higher end type dealer, see Mike Bradley at that dealership, he will give you a great price and the TOP quality service that all dealerships should give. I think that since they sell Audi and Porsche they usually cater to much higher priced cars, it is cool to get that nice treatment. Tell him Tarik Celebi sent you and you will get a good deal.
Peace

Re: Which Bay Area dealer? (corto)

This is a great thread! I bought my car from Royal Motor Sales in San Francisco, mainly because I live close to them. I ended up getting a decent deal but I had to be VERY firm in negotiations...
As for service, I had to bring my GTI in recently when a few of my ignition coils failed (
). After I start tuning my car (soon!), I think I might try the Sunnyvale dealer. I've heard good things about their service.

Royal motors has the worst service I've ever experienced, bad attitudes from top to bottom. http://****************.com/smile/emthdown.gif Everytime I went there to pick up my car something was always eff'd up and other people were complaining left and right as well. Avoid them!

Thanx guys!
Seems like Sunnyvale gets the most votes of confidence. Called them for info on the 24v VR6 GTI and said that they won't know anything specific until May
Which seems true from what most of us know regarding sale date.
Funny thing is that a salesman at Boardwalk said to me that they'll get the 24v VR6 GTIs in 2 weeks!!! He knew nothing regarding the upcoming DE GTI and was trying to sell me a 174hp VR6 GTI since it's already pretty fast...

Gotta be patient until May!
