I was lookin through the Bahn Brenner website at performance motors.
http://www.bahnbrenner.com/EnginePerformance/PerfEngines.htm
I was looking at the 1.9 Liter Bez G60 (short block) and was wondering what other expenses and parts I'ld have to invest in, or is the complete kit I'll need to swap out my engine.
I have a 1990 g60 with 129,000 on it and wanted to replace it with a reliable engine, I'm not quite sure how well the previous owner maintained it.
I'ld also do a SC rebuild to get better boost.
What other parts should I expect to buy??
I'm looking to spend about 4,000.
Friend of mine owns a shop and would handle the labor for me.
Thanks

Re: Which BBM Motor would you recommend?? (Fast_bunny)

why not just have a local motor shop rebuild what you got? Will end up costing less, and would be of equal quality. I doubt BBM actually machines these motors. I could be wrong, but it makes sense they would just send them out to a machine shop to have the rework done as well. Maybe someone that has seen there shop can comment on a equipment they have. It certainly takes more than a CNC to properly rebuild a motor

Yes they do send the motors out. They send them out to a shop like I work for.

why rebuild the 1.8, I hired Overkill Performance to building
me a 2.1l w / a ported and polished g60 head. for way less than $4k.
remember there is no replacement for displacement.
