Alright, i want to run a T03/T04 turbo setup, BOV, intercooled, running 12psi to 22psi and i want to get the car at least into the mid 13s if not better...its a street car though, i drive it almost everyday, im not worried about losing things like AC, PS, or anything, its half race half show... im wondering, what would be a better engine for doing a turbo setup like this? a 2.0 Crossflow motor or the old 1.8 8v with an audi tall block? any ideas? i dont want to spend oodles of money on a 1.8t or anything, i want to build a mean engine...

"i dont want to spend oodles of money on a 1.8t or anything, i want to build a mean engine..."thats a BIG oxymoron
out of those two wngines id use a 95 or older 2.0 xflow
Re: Which Engine for turbo? (Clownracer v2)

Re: Which Engine for turbo? (negativl)

I've seen some very impressive numbers from 2.0 16v turbos, so that would get my vote. Check out the 16v forum for more info. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Re: Which Engine for turbo? (8vGTI)

its been my experience w/ 16v's that id go with an 8v and boost it. 16v=nice but also=timing/ignition nightmares. 8v is easier-im doing it (1.8 with aba bottom) T3/intercooled/bov-like 8-10psi(want to drive it daily
