Which look for my car?

982 Views 23 Replies 16 Participants Last post by  digit21
Trying to decide what to do with my car and wanted your guys opinions. Either way, I will be smoothing out the bumper and relocating the turn signals. Also gonna be getting a JOM 2 bar badgeless and thinking about a boser or boser blick.
1) Abt front lip and Abt side skirts
2) Euro lip with Reiger M3 style side skirts
What would look best on my car?

All opinions welcome.

#2 with some black superturismos
Re: Which look for my car? (ThugGTi)

ABT everything looks nice, but its been done to death and forever. How about you get a Euro lip, leave the rest stock, invest in a good suspension setup and dump it, and keep your 14" stock rims (or some BBS RX in 16", not too pricy and OEM looking) and get good tires? I think that would look great! And would save you some cash too http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
Sorry if I'm repeating myself alot these days but I've been on a "Make it look OEM" tip lately, and hopefully I will still feel that way when I take my car out of storage!

Hmm, get a SEAT front spoiler with the M3 skirts, would look much better I think. Anthrancite wheels look better than black wheels on black IMO Friend had some Team Dynamic knock off F1 Cups on his black GTI VR6, was sweet http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Boser and Boser blick are the same thing.

Which look do you prefer?

By boser blick I meant just the grill spoiler that is not molded into the hood, comprende.
I'm undecided on which look I like. Thats why I was asking for opinions or maybe some other ideas which would suit my fancy a little more than those two options. If I had to decide between the two right now, I couldn't.

I'll try to help without being too biased... The Reiger side skirts are deeper than the euro spoiler, so it wouldn't really flow too well; I would switch to the Reiger spoiler to match the lines. Speaking of matching lines, the Abt side skirts carry the line of the Abt spoiler along the side of the car.

My sentiments exactly. Those Rieger skirts are deep and need the Rieger spoiler to look right from the side. Dub Oddity can't even get over the speed bumps at my townhome complex with his Rieger skirts, and the bumps are just average sized, nothing extreme. He's on 17" as well. Either Rieger or Abt will look the business, but with the JOM grille, I'd go Rieger.
Re: Which look for my car? (Doug Brekke)

like i say to everyone else who asks these questions, do what your going to be happy with, not what everyone else choosed to do for you......its your car, so buy what you want, not what others want you to do, other wise your not building your car for yourself, you building for others.....so do what YOU want, and not what others want
Re: Which look for my car? (Euro Flavour)

look in the background a add for RED BULL
Re: Which look for my car? (Euro Flavour)

My opinion is to spend the $$$ on some nice suspension first, then think about some nice wheels. Suspension, wheels, then think about body modifications.

Also..if you are going the boser route, you must first realize how much it costs... it's a lot!! If you are having trouble deciding between a bolt-on un-molded fiberglass boser and a custom fabbed metal boser which is welded, filled, and painted then it sounds like you are unsure about what exactly to do, and what you can afford. A welded boser is not a light undertaking..it's a lot of hard work, and a lot of money. If you like the bad look, then maybe look into a set of Kamei slanted eyelids, or even the unmolded boser (which I personally don't care for) which is around $50, and save the thousand or so it would cost for a molded boser. If I were in your situation, I would gladly fork over the change for FK, HR, or KW coils instead. I promise, you'll be much happier in the end.
I say go for the JOM right now though..makes a nice addition and subtle difference to the MKIII front fascia, and it's relatively inexpensive. It's a also very good quality piece. I still love mine, and I've had it for 2 years now.

Re: Which look for my car? (K-Fresh)

I already have suspension I'm happy with and I like my wheels also (not pictured). And I plan on changing the look of my car next because parts are damaged and I would like them replaced (i.e. chipped grill, dented hood, cracked side skirt). Money is not an issue, I can always save for mods. Whether I want to spend the money on a particular mod (the welded boser) is a different story. The two options I put forth are ideas of what I'm thinking about going with but am undecided about (stated earlier in post) and I'm asking for opinions on what to do with the look of my car. Thats it.
Anyways, any other opinions, all are welcome.
