[golfchick]

I have a 97 Golf CL (1.8 L), and I want to lower it maybe 1.5" - 2".....any suggestions on springs/shocks to get? I can't seem to find any that say they are for a 1.8L, they are all for 2.0L and VR6. (I can't afford coilovers, I just want to get rid of some fender gap.)
I posted this in the suspension forum yesterday, but nobody really replies in there.

I have a CL as well. I'm currently sporting stock ride height for Winter, but come Spring the Weitec suspension is going back on. It drops the car about 2.5". http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
