Re: Which Upper Front Strut Bar? (shardboy)

I wouldn't get the eurosport or the neuspeeed. When I did my research before I decided on a bar I found that those two were notorious for knocking out the throttle body due to small clearance. I chose the Autotech bar. Works great so far, only hassle was the install with the six bolts (as compared to 4 nutserts on the neuspeed and eurosport).

I have 0 problems with my neuspeed bar I have for a couple of years. If I were to choose another bar it would be Autotech, Raid or Eibach because of the nicer look.

I have the Neuspeed..no rubbing on the TB, and it looks very good....clean welds and a nice finish. You can't beat it for the price or ease of install. I later added the rear to match as well...

Re: Which Upper Front Strut Bar? (EuroStyle)

I have a neuspeed, I cant notice any difference in handling... Maybe cause it isnt installed yet

I like the ones that wrap your shock towers..
They look more havy duty and nice when poloshed

Re: Which Upper Front Strut Bar? (96VW2NV)

I have the Autotech bar and it's really sturdy... Requires more work to install, but hey, that's what I have friends for
The autotech bar requires you to drill your own holes into your strut towers then you secure the bar with nuts and bolts.. none of that nutsert stuff

The Autotech bar looks really crappy when I bought it as it had a dull finish and there was adhesive residue all over it. I just used some "goo gone" to remove the adhesive and used some Mother's metal polish. Presto chango, a polish strut tower bar -- looks great, performs great.
