After moving my car out of the garage today I noticed a white residue on the floor under the engine.It looks like a salty liquid had dried there. I haven't seen anything like this before, does anyone know what this is?BTW I live in FL so it can't be road salt,nor have I been to the beach.

There is undercarridge rust prevention coating thats sortof waxy/white. Maybe thats it?

Good grief, not anthrax!!! Pardon the flippancy. Either by crawling underneath the vehicle, or perhaps by measuring, you need to correlate with some mechanical component area under the hood. Most likely leaks are from oily things, like power steering pump, head gasket, etc. Perhaps you could check the car a few minutes after you stop it. There is very often water drippage due to the a/c condenser, and perhaps there is some residue that gets in that water.

It's not A/C condensate, thats on the passenger side this is closer to the drivers side. The reside looks bright white,not oily in any way,I've never seen anything like this.

Engine coolant leaves a white residue when it dries.
