H&R Sport
Sorry, don't have any pics. But, I would be mood for more of a drop. It provided about an inch or so, but nothin' major. As the driver I can tell, but to the untrained eye, not really. For now, I'm happy w/ them performance wise, eliminated a lot of roll and allowed for MUCH better handling, but eventually I'll probably be running coilovers.

guys,
how is the ride with those as compared to stock???
-very interested
Re: Who is running H&R Springs (G60_Likes_2_Break)

H&R race with Bilstien sport.Very harsh city wise,Very smooth highway wise.
1.3/1.4 respectively.
Re: Who is running H&R Springs (G60_Likes_2_Break)

ride is good, not harsh. I have bilstiens too.
I would rather have a good coilover set now tho..
Re: Who is running H&R Springs (G60_Likes_2_Break)

same setup as Que Aleman, we bought our stuff together and i helped our cousin install them on both our cars because ron was sitting on the computer at the mall getting paid. Compaired to stock they are a world of difference. The whole car is stiffer, alot less roll in turns, even less dipping down your butt when you shift high. We both also have the autotech upper strut bar and neuspeed rear tri-angular brace. The rear brace is a huge difference to I thought. It makes for a stiffer ride but the body roll reduction is amazing.

I forgot to mention we are both still on stock speedlines. If i had the 17's I want then im sure i would have less wheel gap that i would be happy with. I dont really want it slammed cause i wanna drive it. Its just right now with the stick rims on, there is still some wheel gap that pisses me off.
Re: Who is running H&R Springs (VTK THS @ VT)

I got H&R Sports with Bilstein Sports, riding on stock speedlines. I really like this setup capmared to stock. Everything seems tighter in the car. However, it isn't harsh. Driving down a smooth road it is almost hard to tell that you have a "sport" suspension. Going over bumps however, is a different story. I found this setup doesn't like bumps very much and is kinda jarring. In the turns it rocks. For canyon/backroad fun this setup is great. It lowered my car a noticeable amount from stock. Would I recommend them to a hardcore track person, probably not. Would I recommend them to someone who drives their car a lot and like to have fun with it in the turns, absolutely.

I've got the Race springs with Bilsteins and 17" wheels. For me, the setup is too
harsh, but gives the car a really aggresive stance. Along with the harsh ride comes
the banging and rattling from everything in the car. Is anybody else running something that gives the look, but allows for a cushier ride?

Yeah, I was thinking, that sunroof will rattle even MORE

thanks for the info fellas-

Here is a HUGE pic of mine - H&R Sports with Bilstein Sports. Believe me it WAS higher before the new suspension...

Feels like stock on the highway, great in the turns with less of that floaty feeling, and an absolute nightmare on cobblestone streets.

i have to agree. i bought the bilstien sports from neuspeed because of the special valving for the g60. paired with the neuspeed sport springs my rado handles like its on rails. could use a lower drop though.....
Re: Who is running H&R Springs (crez)

Guys..
I can't stress this enough.. I thought the neuspeed "special" valving was utter b/s until a month ago.. had the n/s versions on my black/tan 93.. with the n/s front/rear stress bars.. car was on rails.. crappy nitto 450s on speedlines was my problem by far.. came across a new set of bilstein sports/h&r springs dirt cheap.. ended up installing them on a buddies car.. n/s versions had the blue dustboots.. monster 2" ? diameter strut pistons.. rear perch height adj option.. while the reg bilsteins have black boots, dinky pistons.. non height adj.. the n/s setup rode like a dream.. put it this way.. if my wife can sleep soundly while traveling 120+ they're smooth.. I was all set to order pss-9's for the yellow C but i'll go back to what i know and love.. just honest .02

Re: Who is running H&R Springs (yellowslc)

So neuspeed makes a different type of Bilstien shock? So when I ask my local tuner for them what should I ask for?
Re: Who is running H&R Springs (VRSIX POWER)

You have to order these struts/shocks directly through neuspeed/aps or through one of their distributors.. ie. velocity, parts4vws (pretty sure) etc.. I will obtain the proper part #'s and post them.

They give you a respectable drop, decent ride and good handling manners all at once http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
