actually its my stock dv.... im not chipped yet... so i didnt get my dv...
but i am actually getting my forge dv in next week

That sounds more like the WMV audio compression. It has nothing to do with the recording, but more of how much the original audio/video was compressed in making it into a WMV. Since I'm assuming it had to be compressed quite a bit to post on the internet, you lose sound quality (gets more tinny), but have smaller file sizes.

no actually this was off of the mic off of my webcam...
it was straight off of sound recorder... so... i dont think i compressed it to a wmv... sorry to burst your bubble

Aftermarket and stock DV sound exactly the same...I have my stock DV and my friend has a Forge on his TT...we both have BMC CDA's and they sound very similar (with the exception of his being slightly louder due to larger K04)...in other words, there is no way to quiet that thing down spaceman...sorry!
