I went to Import Revolution...it sucked...but we had fun anyways!
VWAddiction showed 3 of their cars, and I think there were 8 cars with Dubspeed. Not a bad Eur turnout, but they classed them all together.
There was a shooting after WIC on the freeway heading back into town. Links to the local media are here: http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/story.hts/metropolitan/1290229 http://www.click2houston.com/hou/news/stories/news-129680220020311-090309.html
The local media hasn't made the connection yet between the violence and WIC, fortunately. However, the Dubspeed guys that attended WIC said there was a lot of smack talking, which could have contributed to the drama.
Reports from IR was that it sucked hard, especially if you were just a spectator. There was one all-inclusive Euro category, while there were several categories for Civics alone. Very asian import biased, but hopefully that will change with more Euro participants. WIC was supposedly better.
I went to both and they both sucked. Well...they were just typical Japanese-car events I guess. What else is new? Only two VW's even raced at W.I.C...both VR6's. Texas has never been a hotbed for H20-cooled VW drag racing. Hopefully that will change soon though.....
