I have the mk5 look lights on my car, but no HID's... I definantly know of one person on here who has done it but I don't remember what their name was..... if you search you'll find his thread showing a step by step with pictures. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Nice try at correcting me, you you are still wrong, so do your homework before you try to prove someone wrong again, "Ace".
The orginal poster said who is going to try the new Mk5 LOOK HIDs
Those are REAL HIDs for an actual Mk5, Who looks real dumb now, ACE ?

The only way the original poster's idea works is if he was talking about retrofitting an HID kit into the Mk5 Look headlights - which is a terrible idea because retrofitting like that creates tons of glare, I know because I used the setup before getting OEM HIDs.
edit: and I'll even educate you to show you the difference...
These are Mk5 HID headlights, like the ones from the link you posted (in your ATTEMPT at proving me wrong and the ones the original poster is talking about; that C2 is selling)

i really like the mkv headlights, but i'm gonna see whether or not they'll be smoked ones out anytime soon before i buy.

And that idea is terrible, retrofits give off very bad glare...and its not a new idea to retrofit, its done many time before on different types of headlights...

wow...all i did was mention i was looking at that thread which just clicked an idea.
stop putting words in my mouth.
and of course there are tons of retrofits. they cant be that bad if people spend hundreds of $ doing them. and THIS is a new idea for MK5-LOOK HIDs. ive never seen them
