If you owned the car, wouldn't you be mad that Gemballa took off the Porsche emblem on the hood and replaced it with a Gemballa emblem?!?!?? For Pete's sake, Gemballa didn't MAKE the car, they just modified it!!!

Not sure if this is true for Gemballa or not, but some "tuners" (RUF, Saleen) are actually considered to be the "manufacturer" of the car and they have their own VINs and such.
German law requires the car to be rebadged is a certain percentage of the parts content is changed. Just like a Ruf is not technically registered as a Porsche anymore. If they modify it enough it is now a Gembella manufactured car.
Gemballa is a manufactuer in Germany just like Ruf, Hartge and ACSchnitzer. At a certain point, the gov't classifies these tuners as makers because the mods are so thruough... most start with a body in white!
