I can't remember if the VW snowflake is a 6" or 6.5" rim. anyone know how wide a tire this size wheel will hold? 205?

I'm running 185s on my teardrops, but a lot of guys have gone up to 205s. 195 would probably be the best choice. Post something in one of the A1 or A2 forums.

The VW snowflake rim is 6" wide. You can safely use a 205/55-14 (if you can find
one) or a 195/55-14 (like the Dunlop SP8000's i use as street tires on my 85 GTi).
The 205/55-14 was the OEM size that came on the 87-88 16v GTi with 14x6 Teardrops.
