I bought a tube of that 3M Trim adhesive from the auto parts store and used it to hold my fender flares on.
If I take them off, can I get the glue off the paint without doing much damage?
I know the stuff sticks VERY well, so any tips would be great
Thanks
Tommy

i'm not sure about using this stuff on car paint, but i work with variety of double sided tapes at work (misc signage) and we use either alchohol or a product called "dsr-5." i don't know who makes it but it works good for removing any and all adhesives without damging whatever it's stuck to. if you used the vinyl tape then you should be able to just pull it off without any problem.

This is actually the clear stuff you buy in a tube at most auto parts stores. I put dab on my tool box but havent had a chance to try anything to get it off..it dries pretty tough, but slightly rubbery.
The 3M remover may work, but this stuff seems TOUGH
