I plan on supercharging my 16V. I'm worried about putting too much strain on the bearing nearest the crank pully cause of the extra upward force of the charger belt.
So was just wondering if a G60 crank with G60 bearing would work with a 1.8 16V block?
Re: Will a G60 crank and G60 crank bearings fit in a 1.8 16V block? (Butcher)
the 16V KR/PL crank is the same as the G60 PG. as are the bearings for the rods and mains.
crank 026 105 101E
big ends 034 105 701 need 8
mains 026 198 491 this is a kit number you also need the 026 198 491A to do the rest of the mains.
I have just replaced the rod bearings on my PG and the oil pump is special for the G60. This may have more importance than the bearings wearing out.
On my car the rod bearings at cylinders 1, 2 and 3 had already been changed. ( furthest from the pump). The ones in 4 were original, according to the dates on the back of them and the fact the rod bolts had been marked as re-used.
Hope that helps you out.

dohc, I'm sorry I cannot help you there. Motorsport parts are not on the ETKA.
I don't see the need for better bearings really, even in a race motor. If the standard ones can last 100,000 miles or more, then a race motor that is stripped once a season is going to get replacements often.
Awaiting the responses to that.
