Has anyone put mk4 seats into their mk3 ? I was looking into a new Passat today, and damn his seats were sweet ! I want those !
I realize that I'd probably have to get the tracks custom-made, but that wouldn't be that big of a deal, hopefully.
Anyone have pics of this ? I got thinking of a mod like this since I saw those M3 seats for sale

yes, but a lot of welding must be done. I think you have to take out the brackets froms an Mk4, take the ones out of our cars, and weld the mk4 ones back in to yours!
If you can understand this, you get a cookie!!
Good luck!

Hmm, I tried doing a search to locate this elusive Gooberry, but with all the variants of his name I could think of, my search still yielded nothing. Do you have his e-mail address so I can get in touch with him ?

He payed someone to put fabricate the front seats into place. The rear seats he just set in, but they were not latched to the pegs. Basically you have to have everything fabricated to make it work.

Hey, I'm the guy that bought the M3 seats, they fit no problem so I'm sure you could work something out. The brackets I got were custom made, very nice ones actually. From what I've heard about the MK4 seats, I think that their rails are wider than ours ( again I'm not 100% on any of this ) but with the time and patience I'm sure you could have something made up that doesn't destroy your current rails and allows you to install the mk4's I knew I should have taken pics of my set up just it could give people ideas....if I remove them for any reason, I'll take some pics...
