Will the car throw codes if i take my GIAC out and put the VW ones in??

Will the car throw any codes when switching chips??

i.e Changing my GIAC back to stock....

Can i do it without vag-comp?

I am pretty sure you need a vag com.

too bad i dont have a lap-top.... guess i can still use some super long extension cords to hold it up!

If your just swapping your modules I think your ok. If your swapping ECU's you'll need a Vag-Com

am i the only person who is asking why you are going back to stock??? do you have to take your car to the dealer or something???

if you're just taking out the giac chip, and putting in the stock one (i.e. not changing the whole ecu) then you don't need a vag-com
your car will have at least 1 code logged, the 18010 'low voltage' code... but that's no big deal.

So i can just switch chip myself and not going to my chip dealer..?
what about switching back to GIAC chip.???
i had like 12 codes when i first installed mine.!
