First of all, I dismantle semi's for a living.
I came across a 6-cylinder Mitsu. diesel w/ a pretty turbo on it. The hot side resembles a T3 w/ internal w/g and has an A/R of .65. The cold side is something weird, I can't find an A/R but it says HT18 on the compressor housing.
Now I also got an Air Research T4 off of an IHC 6-cylinder. The cold side on this has an A/R of .60. The hot side has an A/R of 1.15 ( obvously way too high).

Could I use the T3 hot side (A/R .65), and the T4 cold side (A/R .60) and have a killer turbo? Or am I high on crack?

The mitsu motor will probably be running a mitsu turbo. HT18 says to me that its a 18g compressor side. Sounds like a decent turbo for a 2l 16v. Got any pics of it and measurements?

The T4 compressor is 3" inducer, 2" exducer.
The T3 compressor is 2" inducer, 1.5" exducer.
The T3 turbine is 2.25" X 1.75" inducer, 2" exducer.

Are those from the Mitsu turbo? Since you're saying t3 and t4

The hot side resembles a T3 and has the same flange.
The T4 is an Air Research T04.

The tdo5's resemble a t3 flange but are different it sounds like a tdo5 18g turbo. Pics would help but it seems like its small on the compressor side. t3 40 trims use a 1.484" inducer and a 2.367" exducer. So Im guessing that its close to that. Not a very good turbo for anything but a smaller 8v.

What about using the Air Research T04 compressor side (A/R .60)?

The turbine side sounds big enough but the compressor side sounds on the small side. I would ebay both turbos and buy a turbo that suits your needs from killa here on Vortex.

I was talking about the Mitsu turbo, the T04 is a big turbo for the on the exhaust side but the compressor wheel sounds like a good match (around a 46 trim need an exact measurement to tell you what it is) for a 16v.

Now, the measurements I took of the T4 compressor wheel were outside diameter. Do you need inside diam?
