Once I upgrade the running gear on my Passat in the next year, I'd like to have brakes that take advantage of the greater openings. Will the W8 rotors and calipers swap right over directly into a 2003 GLS? I'm wondering if the brake fluid and lines are the same, etc.

Re: Will W8 brakes swap directly over to a B5.5 GLS? (StattlichPassat)

They should as long as the caliper carriers are swapped also. The only question would be that the W8 calipers are designed for the 4-motion drive line and the hub carriers may be different. Also watch your front to rear brake proportioning. The bias may be different due to the larger disks and calipers. Watch your caliper clearances. the 17" wheels that fit my '99 Passat and '01 Audi A4 would not fit over the calipers of the W8. The calipers on the front are way wider and contacted the insides of the spokes.
