Re: window sticker (VR6 Mk3)

I like how "Fahrvergnügen" is listed as a no charge special feature on the Raddo's sticker.

I have the original window sticker from my car, in addition to the used car sticker from when I bought it. The dealer didn't notice that the car had a CD Changer, all weather package, or ABS.

Feature for feature, the MSRP on a new MkIV Jetta GLS with the same options is almost $3000 more.

I wouldn't expect any less from you, Steve. Your car is looking so amazing. I find myself appreciating it even more now that I have a Golf 4, since they share similar new milennium styling and curvature. I still think you should open up a VAG museum in your garage.

Re: window sticker (VR6 Mk3)

I'm not even the original owner on my car, but I found the window sticker folded into the owners manual. For a 95 VR6 GTI it originally cost 19,720 - I think, I'd have to pull it out and check.
Is it just me, or is that price on the corrado sticker rediculously high. Was that Canadien dollars? Or is that why they stopped selling them?

Re: window sticker (melmer)

I would not be suprised if you had the German version of the sticker too Steve...
I bought my car used and it did not have a manual, much less the window sticker. I wish she did...I was able to get the manulas and leather holder, but you really can't get the sticker duplicated.....

The price is correct, in US dollars. Corrados were pretty expensive, and that's one reason they stopped sellling them. At the time, people thought it ridiculous to pay $25,000 for a VW. My dad has always clamed that if they had badged it as an Audi, they would have sold a million of them.

You should see his garage...it is truly a "VAG Parts Bin" as well a an art gallery and a library. Unfortunately, the only times I've been there it wasn't heated.

Steve I'd love to see your collection. I have way too much too. Ihave a complete collection of dealer brochures from 1990 to the present. Got a garage packed with boxes. Over 500 vw toys and crap. Just got a load of posters from the old training center. All the dealer posters like th Surf green VR6 GTI and the Jetta Trek. Also got some killer Auto union framed photos of the Horsch Pre war car.

Joe-
I'd looove to sort through your stuff - working for VW you have access to all of the cool stuff I can't imagine getting. Actually, I just started getting into the collecting thing this passt year. Mainly European stuff, but some No. Amer. stuff. I have a ton of Euro magazines - all of the PVW's ever made, all but 7 issues of THE GOLF, VW Scene from 1992 or so to present, almost all of the VW Speeds, Gute Fahrt from 1998-, WOB, etc.. I have a TON of magazines! I am currently filling in the gaps on my Golf brochure collection and I've started to accumulate badges too. Toooo much junk!

To keep this on topic, here's a pic of my expensive metal and plastic collection (as requested):
