It depends on the conditions.
I was giving a new Prelude SuX/Si/R? ( I really don't pay attn. to those tags) on the hi-way the other day with just a Tune box in a Golf TDI.
If you ask in the 1/4 mile I'm gonna say Civic SI? or whatever and that is becuse the ONE weakness TDI has is the 1/4. Take it 1/8 mile or 1 mile or rolling run of just about any sort and Basically, you'll shock them!! (I eat 'em on a daily basis) Celica GTS, Prelude doesn't matter. If they take you on in a environment where you can exploit your torque advantage, you will burn some reis asz!!!
It's not always who has the snappiest looking wheels who wins. Sometimes, the smarter one comes out ahead.

with the chip, you should have no problem smoking 2.slo's. 116hp w/chip vs. 115hp. 200ft/lbs torque vs i think 120ft/lbs. The typical rice boys I can smoke with my chipped jetta. As for the "stock" kivik's you should be able to smoke them too.
what can i take

Depends on how good you are. Tire compound has a lot to do with it, also clutch capabilities. Depends on how long the race is. You talking 0 to 45 or up to 90? If you're serious about running your car you'll need to upgrade the clutch as well as the ECU capabilities.
Re: what can i take (Driv'n EZ)

going for g-60 clutch/flywheel/pressure plate combo, looking for it this summer, i want the race to be long enough to show him don't mess with me

Yea, this is right, TDI´s are not very good accelerating in the first three gears.. 1st gear just spins maddly, 2nd and 3rd are very short and disel engines aren´t exactly rev crazy..
My (modest) numbers on the 1/4 mile (street):
60 ft 2.74s 0.26g 27.6mph
330 ft 6.92s 0.26g 56.7mph
1/8 Mile 10.36s 0.17g 72.6mph
1/4 Mile 15.80s 0.13g 91.5mph (146.4kmh)
0-60MPH 7.50s 0.26g 379ft
Pk Power: 89.5mph 15.10s 1227ft 147hp
Peak G: 22.5mph 1.93s 29ft 0.57g

Re: what can i take (TDIracer)

Sounds like fun.
I've got a Beetle TDI which is still stock except for OEM 17" rims (from the Sport/Snap Orange, etc. models) I added as soon as I bought the car. I'm planning on getting an UPsolute chip and short shifter installed as soon as I get my tax rebate. So that's 115 hp, 200 tq and nicer shifting. By summer, I plan on factory sport springs, Turbo S bodykit, Pipercross Viper CAI, and exhaust (and I have the funds set aside for the G60 clutch for whenever I kill my stock one
)
How far do you think I could take this car before my car loses the ability to be a daily driver?

Re: what can i take (ASurroca)

Performance filters + exhaust will give you very modest gains (5hp!?), because the stock intake and exhaust is not restrictive at all. Although i think the NB has a somewhat twisted intake different to the ones present on the Golf/Bora, there might be some gains from an improved one.
The chip will give you major gains. From that on there´s other expensive mods: larger injectors (0.205mm,0.216mm), 11mm pump, etc..
