Re: With my mods and a 2.0 60' can I go 13.99? (ItsukiVR6)
quote:

Quaife isn't gonna lower your times persay it will just highly descrease your chance of breaking.. yes with the quaife u can throw slicks on and possibly pull that 1.8. but that something i was not able to do... in my 6 or 7 runs with slicks.

I do plan on going to the track alot so I want the extra insurance of the diff.
quote:

But if u don't feel like taking out weight the other cheat is get a 3.67 r&p and u should be 13.9 with out a doubt. I was gonna do it when i put my quaife and clutch in but didn't have the money for it...

Would you recomend a 3.67 as instead of a 3.933? I want to keep N/A with the exception of adding juice down the road a bit. But wouldn;t the 3.933 give me quicker acceleration with a lower top end then the 3.67?
quote:

And also try running some 104 octane. since u still have a cat.. since it's unleaded.. were i run 112... honestly some days i don't feel a gain and other days i definately gain mph.. but it's worth a shot..

I ran 104 unleaded last week at the track and didn't notice a difference, but I am sure it won't just anything. What about getting a test pipe?
quote:

Also i dunno if u have your airbox or a filter but if u have the airbox.. ditch it and get a filter cause your losing power.. just look at Bill.

I know you have the p-flow and everyone @ here knocks it because it supposedly sucks hot air. I just have a k&n with the stock air box drilled out. Before I got into the 14's I had just the k&n without the drilled out box so I belive it does make a difference.
And with those 268 cams i recommend shifting a little later then what u said u were like around 6700 and then 6600-6700 then ride out 3rd.
Tim

The cams I still have to figure out, I think I am gonna get a dyno done and see what the power curve is. Last week I tried 7k then 6400 and then third till the end but couldn't do any better then 14.6 so I'll see if your method works.
