I have a wolfsburg edition, lately i've been wanting to refinish my rims and maybe paint them another color. The question is, i've heard that the bolts that holds the face to the rim break often when reused. Where can i get new ones? can i use these http://store.blackforestindust....html?

i dont know where to get new bolts but i would like to as i want to get a set of RX II's soon.
but just keep in mind to loosen and tighten the bolts in a star pattern. also when putting them back together torque them at 5 lbs, then 10, then 18

they dont' break often, the only way it will break is if its tightened wrong, impacted to tight, or not tightened at all, just like normal nuts on a car.
you do a star pattern get them all snug, get rid of some play in the wheel snug them up again, then tighten them down evenly to the recommended torch spec.
it also insures your wheel is centered. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

I keep seeing the word centered, what exactly does it mean? i am sorry if this is a dumb question, but how do i know if it is centered

center reffers to where the wheels is ballance on the middle on the axle when you put it on

just re powered coated mine about a month ago, took them apart all 16 bolts on each wheel and got them sand blasted and painted silver, red locked them and torqued to 23-25 lbs NO higher I broke one doing that but other than that they don't break I would recommend doing them all by hand no air tools etc

bro I looked all over. The dealership wont even sell you them, they tell you to call BBS. So you call BBS, hmmm they wont sell you them. They want you to send your wheels out to them (BBS) and they will put them together for you, to make sure its done right. To me thats a bunch of Ish, anyway I did find a sick set to get, but I didnt cause it would cost 50.00 in shipping to get them over here from Germany

and around 200.00 for the bolts. They where gold btw. the measurement is M7.0 very odd size anyway I found a guy that had 30 of them sitting around, and I payed him 40.00 to send them to me http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif Im going to soak them in BLU and make them black.
