Re: Wolfsburg Edition? (feeling_sinister)

It's just a trim level. However it's the one level that truly is a GLX without the VR6.
It has power everything, rear disc brakes, sport seats, color matched handles/mirrors, 15 inch wheels, sport trim (side skirts, wing, fogs, fuba, etc...), the only difference is that it is a 2.0 with 4 lug wheels.
I kinda wish I'd looked around longer for one actually.

Re: Wolfsburg Edition? (corduroy79)

I have a 99 Wolfsburg Edition too,
14inch rims mirror finish rims
Leather strearing wheel, shifter and boot and handbrake
Great seats!
White face gages
Color matched exterior
Side skirts like the GTI
Whip antena
Power everything
sunroof
CD Changer in the trunk
no rear discs
I think only the Jetta's got discs.
Nothing else for now.

Re: Wolfsburg Edition? (Mojoban)

Yup, Wolfies came with the 14 inch wheels (same as the GTI but slightly dif. finish). Mine came with all trim (wing, skirts, fuba) fogs, power everything, leather steering wheel and boots and rear discs. And I don't know why but seems like mine has a little more kick. It's completely stock but I beat every other 2.0L VW off hte start.

BTW, mine had a sticker that said assembled in Mexico...

Re: Wolfsburg Edition? (flakybandit)

Wow. No, they weren't. These were made in Mexico along with all the other Jettas. They have no extra power, same 115/125 specs, just like all the other 4 cylinder Jettas. They came with 14s, and any combination of the above mentioned features. They were a way to clear out remaining MK3s so as to make room for the MK4s. It's a good value if you can find one.
