Call me silly but im excited. Made another purchase for the 1vv drive-train for the Jetta. This time the transmission.
Here are the stats:
The tranny is newly done, 0 miles.
3.94 final drive
16v gearset with .80 5th gear
steel coated syncros
bolt kit
updated hubs (a3)
new seals/bearings.
I was planning on getting a Quaife as well. I may just stay with whats in this tranny. Its a shim kit but actually bit more agressive than the standard Peloquin/Velocity kits.

No, once the Jetta is running I will be hitting up the dyno days.
The body shop is still giving us a headache.
At least I have the Golf, my sister has no car to drive.

The tranny was built by a guy named Rui. He runs a shop called RM Pro tuning here in Central Falls, RI. He knows his stuff.
The tranny pricre was $995 including a 200 core. I gave him a 2h tranny which I had planned pulling the 3.94 ring and pinion out, so the final cost was $795. Included 2 bottles of Redline gear oil as well.

Re: (duff_man2000)

Good call. It was freshened up with some aluminum paint. Looks fine to me.

A higher final drive would be nice, with the .80 fifth it won't rev too high at highway cruising speeds either.
