I bought a new 2008 Rabbit/ Golf 2.5. That thing was great. I bought an MkVI R a few years later. I’d take a Golf anyway over a Civic/Corolla.

To point out the obvious - Complaining about lack of choice but still bought a VW crossover anyway.

This is exactly why the Golf is dead for USA. It may fill a niche but those customers seem to have no problems switching gear into a different (higher profit) VW model. Between the Taos and Tiguan VWoA will probably capture most of the former Golf customer base.

Yeah, my reasoning for doing so was RIGHT there so I don't know what to tell you...
