Well, there is a reason the ABF made 150hp compared to it's NA counterpart, I would say yes... But realistically if you are going to peak power and not torque, then a short runner would serve you best...

the abf was NA and it didnt have the 50mm intake manny found on earlier euro 16v's. the abf's was different and i think it was something like 48mm.
im sure you would benefit, i dont see why not. you would lose some low end torque, but you would lose even more with a short runner
