my motor kinda runs like its off one tooth timing wise. it has kinda sucky low end but screams over 4k. so im wondering if the cam position sensor would notice this and throw a code. thanks
Yes, if the crankshaft, camshaft, and ignition firing do not "line up", you will see a CEL.
The ECU will scream at you about a camshaft position 'out of range', etc.
There's no negative mechanic noise or grinding of the sort, right? How sluggish is the acceleration?
Done any tune-up procedures lately?

no negative noises. my check is always on since i pulled the airpump out though.
I just did my timing chains since i noticed this problem so thats another reason i suspected it. Im gonna vag com it tommorow.
