ŠKODA AUTO Deutschland is looking forward to the highlight of the rally season: Fabian Kreim and Frank Christian (D/D) make a guest appearance in the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC 2) when they compete in the ADAC Rallye Deutschland. Five new ŠKODA Fabia R5 take to the tarmac stages around Trier with WRC 2 championship leaders Esapekka Lappi/Janne Ferm (FIN/FIN) leading the ranks. After recently claiming two successive WRC 2 one-two finishes, ŠKODA aims to continue its winning streak. Almost 375 kilometers and 21 challenging special stages await Kreim & co.

"We are really looking forward to this highlight and obviously want to do as well as possible. After our successful test event where we finished second in the Rallye Weiz in Austria, we feel fit and ready for this huge challenge,” says Kreim. In his debut season for ŠKODA AUTO Deutschland, the 22-year old ADAC supported driver has scored three victories so far in the German Rally Championship (DRM), and has given onlookers a taste of his great potential. Competing head-to-head with the world’s best rally drivers – also the first world championship outing together with experienced co-driver Frank Christian – will make even greater demands of the ŠKODA talent."This will be a genuine test of abilities on an international stage for us. We are really intrigued to see how Fabian and Frank shape up on their world championship outing,” commented Andreas Leue, Team Leader Motorsport and Tradition at ŠKODA AUTO Deutschland. Favorites are the ŠKODA factory crews of Esapekka Lappi/Janne Ferm as well as Jan Kopecký/Pavel Dresler (CZ/CZ). In addition, Fabian Kreim, Nasser Al-Attiyah (Q) and Armin Kremer (D) each drive a Fabia R5. Reigning WRC 2 Champion and two-time winner of the legendary Dakar Rally Nasser Al-Attiyah will drive the new Fabia R5 for the first time. Ex-European Champion Kremer currently holds ninth place overall in the WRC 2 standings with 34 points.

ŠKODA AUTO Deutschland will not just be represented by driver duo Fabian Kreim/Frank Christian during its season highlight. At the roadshow in the service park in Trier, a simulator will be set-up where, for example, fans can savor the real rally feeling on the legendary special stages on the Panzerplatte.
