I finnaly got pictures of my XM radio and sound system install. I am hopping to get an aftermarket head unit. THis would allow me to use an auxillary input instead of going through the tape deck. I also was wondering if it is possible to Hard wire the power so that I do not have to use the ciggarette lighter. I forgot to take a picture of my remote gain switch. It is located in the empty spot to the left of the stearing wheel.
The system sounds great with the passenger seat behind the driver folded down. Even though the spoiler is on tight, it rattles very loudly outside the car when the volume is turned high. I have talked to many people and have gotten some bad and reasonable answers on how to fix it. The problem seems to be with air bouncing around inside the hollow Spoiler. When it is held firm like a sandwhich 90% of the noise goes away. Please tell me what you guys think.

Re: XM radio/Amp/Sub pics. (Darold2002)

Blitzsafe makes an adapter that will use the cd changer cable to allow any device that has RCA outputs to be played thru the radio...no rf mod or cassette adapter. Now if you already have a changer and want both, then soundgate should have that adapter out around the begining of march.

Re: XM radio/Amp/Sub pics. (Boggus)

Nice setup with the cassette adapter, the antenna looks like a shark fin on top of my GTI.
I have repeatedly e-mailed and called Blitzsafe for this CD-changer adapter part for my 2002 GTI's double DIN Monsoon so I can install my Sony XM properly. They have neither returned my calls or e-mails.

If anyone already has this adapter and is running XM, or knows the exact part number and where to get it, please post!
Thanks in advance for the feedback
