Yes another shift knob question???

What up everyone I tried doin a search but I couldn't find anything as you can tell I am trying to install my new momo sphere shift knob and was wondering"when you take off the boot and turn the boot inside out how do u remove that circular black clip" If someone could help me out I think i will be in good shape http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

It's for a different knob but the removal steps are the same.
Basically once you pull the boot over the knob, just snip the ring under the knob, then pull up the boot with the knob off together.
