for those of you with the 6cd changer mounted in the trunk, i'm sure you can complain of it skipping quite often, even on the stock suspension.
this only took me 10 minutes! haven't tested it extensively yet, but my ride to school today had NO skips where it usually skips about 7 times at the same spots.
i would like to say i invented this mod myself, altho i'm sure it's been done before, or at least a variation of it. Here goes: you'll need 2 two facewash towels (pretty small), a pair of scissors, and an adjustable socket wrench. four small screws hold in the changer to the mount, which are very easy to take out, except for the last one in the corner.
cut one of the towels in half, so that you are left with 2 near squares. fold the full towel in half with one towel-half in the middle, and fold appropriately about 2 more times. if done correctly, it should fit perfectly in the bottom of the cd changer mount.
wrap the other towel half around your cd changer exposing the top (you don't have to do this, i did it only because i felt there was too much space on the sides for it to jiggle around)
squeeze the changer back into the mount (it should be surrounded by towel, with a good amount beneath it) the plug that hooks up to the changer should be able to fit back in perfectly as well. now you're done!
take it out for a test drive and tell me what you think! now my 1/2 complaints about my car are good to go, now only if someone could tell me how to do the one-touch sunroof mod? http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
