How come the U.S. GTI's and GLI's come with 140mph/7k tachs? 140mph is like 220 kph..
In Canada we get 260kph speedos and 8k tachs... DO you feel left out and neglected?
Maybe VW KNOWS Candians are better drivers....

so at work my forklift has NO speedometer and it is a 2.3 litre.... i guess they think im such a safe driver i dont need one... nows whos jealous.

Ah, yes this is yet another example of the canadian inferiority complex. They always get mad when you assume that they are american and make a point that they are canadian and that they have their own country (oh boy!!!).
As for canadia, that country is too cold for my ass, i don't like the cold living in denver.

My only response : If some Canadians think America sucks so bad why is it that 90% of the Canadian population lives within 100 miles of the US border ?

other american gl's only say 120 mph

The main thing we DO like better is the GTX vs GLI badge

US laws suck, we don't get any of the good cars like Europe (and a few that get to Canada). We get all the dump stuff....like "day time running lights".

Because of your economy. It's cheaper to import and export a few miles rather than thousands of them.
The Canadian Niagara Falls and Electricity plant provides power to the entire American Eastern Seaboard, or 1/3 of the states. Not to mention in a projected 10 years, you will be out of fresh water, which is why you are now importing it from us. Canada has the largest amount of Fresh water in the world, not to mention most of the wood in the world, which, again, is being exported to the United States. Also, the Canadian prairies is said to be the 3rd most richest oil field in the world. And the Great Lakes are another huge oil deposit, which the American's are trying to drill but us Canadians do not want to possibly destroy them with an oil spill, etc.
Don't be so quick to point fingers and bad mouth us Canadians. Or we can be like the Natural Resources Nazi, and "NO WATER FOR YOU!"

As far as the timber goes we are buying it from you at a cheaper price. We then take the same timber and sell it to the Japanese for 4 times the price. Hows that for American inginuity.

Thats alright, we do the same, except we sell it to norway for a dirt cheap price, and in return they get it ready to be sold, then we can sell it to you Americans for about the same, 4 times the price. And white pine, about 6 times the price.
