I figured out why our door handles are breakin. (after 2 for each side

)
Come to find out that the lock on the door (the gold cad. color box on the door) need to be lubed. Have you ever noticed that when you pull your door handle it is kinda hard to pull then it releases. Well I tried everything from adjusting the handle to adj. the lock

well i lubed the door lock with grease NOT WD40 And TA DA the door opens so smooth like butter no problem with pull or sticking

I did my other 2 friends Raddos and they noticed a big change http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
make sure you lube the lock on the door (the gold cad. color box on the door) and you need not worry about your handles breaking http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

hey thanks! i changed my door the other week and tis been a pain to open. im going to go grease it right now.

well, i have been keeping all the locks on my car lubbed since i first got the car, and i got a broken passenger door handle for about 3 months now

i guess this isnt the problem, it may help, but i just think it really isnt the case.

what part did you lube and what did you use to lube with Grease or some type of spray? You really have to Grease that lock assm. good open and close the latch while the door is open http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Take the locking part off...the gold box....degrease it and clean it all out, then grease it up alot, then put it back togethor...it'll work way better....I do it on all my VW's, never had a broken handle, not once http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Yeah thats the guy that destroys all VW handles, along with the cheap pot metal used in the handles.
