it all depends on how they are pulled. i like them pulled while keeping the crease, but then the fenders wont look good if you have a stupid wheel and tire choice with crappy ride height. it all works together.

I do as well when possible. I like for the car to retain the angular feel but if you have say a softline bumper and some fatass wheels it can go.

no i dont think it ruins the flow of the car.. if its done correctly and the rest of your car follows the theme ur going for.. this is perfection

disagreed...when you see phatty at Massiv this year, you'll change your mind too.
I dunno, I just think when you take away that hard crease and flat edge, and replace it with a sharply-angled slope...pull the bumpers or don't pull the bumpers, they still have lines that align with those fender lines that aren't there anymore.

I like the idea, and look of pulled fenders, however, I have relaived that you have to be uber low to pull it off correctly, and I would never be able to get away with the look while still having my car set up for my style of driving
same goes for 9" wide wheels

the bumpers can be smoothed out so that theres no flat spot ive see it done and its the atention to that kind of detail that makes a car

Normally Im a freak about not changing the lines of the car, i,e, shaving sidemoldings and grooves in the bumpers, shaving the bumperlights etc, ( I think the mk3 has nice lines as standard) but I dont mind a smoothed out fender. The sickest pulled fenders Ive seen however were on Matt Leggetts silver GTI from England wherre they were pulled 3 inches and retained the line. I really hate when a fender has been pulled and the wheels still poke out though. Whats the point of pulling a fender if the wheels still dont fit?

this is one subject thats been a hard issue with me ... pulled arches are cool , and i do them on other peoples cars but you would prolly never catch them on my car , i personally like most of the lines that come factory on the mk3's except i do personally like smoothed bumpers , but bosered this pulled that , its not really for me , i like to keep it simple and clean, if there was anything i would do that needed me to fit some crazy et's it would be grafted mk2 arches with the crease

I really don't like pulled fenders. some cars look cool with them, but I personally like the flat ridge around the wheel well. I'm going 16 x 9 in the back, but I am getting rieger fender flares for the rear and doing fender work underneath just so I can keep that look. putting regular OEM flares up front to keep it even looking.

i don't think that pulled bumpers take away from the natural flow of the body, for the most part. I have seen some that look really out of place because they're pulled so much.
Most people who have the money and the desire to achieve that look for their car are going to do it right, unless they want something outrageous, like that black GTI with the rediculous pulled arches.
