Whats up .:R duders...
I own a 1.8T, but want an .:R in the future. I'm just curious as to what kind of miles per gallon you guys get based on your .:Rs, modded or not.
So heres how this thread goes: (and follow this format) list..
1.) Any modifications done to your R32, or if it remains stock.
2.) How you drive it (conservatively, aggresive, mostly highway, etc)
3.) Post a picture of your .:R32
4.) Give us the average miles per gallon you get.

It's that simple!
Rebuttle: Yeah I know this thread seems kind of lame, but i dont care, I think it will be interesting....especially since gas prices still kinda suck these days.
Pics for clicks:

Re: (TheRedMouse)

Engine mods: EVOMS CAI, GIAC 93oct, Magnaflow exhaust.
320-350 per tank, high speed highway driving most of the time.... but with all the construction we got now, 300 is the norm.
I wonder what it will do with C2/Race/Cam file, cams, and highflow cats next month

If your seriously concerned about fuel efficiency then you will not what a MKIV R32, seeing as your in the used VW hatch market seriously consider a MKV GTI 2.0T just as quick and handles nearly as well. It can easily crack 30+ mpg on the highway. Below find some info. about my mods., that most pertain to your concerns about the fuel consumption of the MKIV R32.

Mods: Evoms CAI, C2 race file, flapper mod
60:40, highway:city driving; agressive, but I have to contend with NJ cops, so agressive is probably relative
I get 26mpg under these conditions. Traffic is what brings it down. Some weeks during the summer, when people are on vacation and there is no school traffic, I can get around 28-29. Car has 62k miles, for what it's worth.

A lot. As far as what will affect mileage, a PT6265 and all the trimmings.

At 320 miles, I fill up. It will usually take between 14.5 and 15.5 gallons.

VFlow Intake, Unitronic 1+, EIP Comp Exhaust
Daily Driven.. Mixture of City, Highway..I can't stay out of it.. just too fun to drive..
I average 21-22mpg 310-330miles/tank
Long distance driving/all highway..
28+mpg (easy driving).
highest I've ever gotten was 32mpg.
for the record.. I downshift every gear.. all the time. no neutral dropping for me.. no coasting.. I stay in gear all the time.
I also have a licensed plate blocking my "flow" to my intake.. since the allowing of additives in fuel.. I seen my gas mileage drop slightly.
I used to average 23-24.. and 29/30.
I also went from 17inch rims to 18inch rims.
too lazy to put up pix.
