We are looking for a local (Anaheim, CA) 24v VR6 to test fit and make some minor mods to our 12v VR6 supercharger kit and for Garrett to write our software using a 4wd dyno we have access to in LA.
If anybody is interested, we would be offering a discount on a fitted kit and they would have a chip made specifically for their car.
Please contact us by email on [email protected]
Thanks
Nik

if you want a eurovan im sure someone can help you out
Thanks but the Eurovan wont be any help because we need to test our ducting and brackets, which will be different than that used in the Eurovan chassis.
Hmmmmmmmm......You'd think a company based around R&D on the VR6 engine would know when a particular model was available to the public. 24v Golfs and Jettas are still months away and the 4 Motion might never arrive....
And while I'm busting balls----can't you guys afford your own test mule?

Maybe Z-eng can correct me if I'm wrong but my impression is that a lot of the R&D outfits are not huge shops. I think in a lot of cases they're likely very small shops started by some very skilled ppl. I would also guess that these shops work on limited budgets when it comes to R&D and because so many of these outfits don't just cater to VW but a wide range of manufacturers for their products, purchasing test vehicles for each and every application would be impracticle.
I've heard of other outfits soliciting participation of enthusiasts in the use of their vehicles as test mules. I don't think Z is unique in this request. And to boot, like Z offered, this type of request is usually accompanied with free or discounted stuff for those who get in on it.
Anyway, this was my thought. Maybe Zengineering can enlighten us as to whether or not this is actually true in their case.
ps: any ballpark dates for the 24v SC? Summer 02 maybe?
uhhhh the 24v's are out now...in the 2002 jetta's...i just test drove one yesterday.....comes with an auto, no manual yet....go to your local dealer and ask if they have them yet....most the people at the dealer i went to didnt even know they had them yet....there are three dealers local that i know have them....
If you throw[edit typo] in the supercharger for free you can use mine, plus it is syncro. It is also close to you also. Matrix Engineering has it right now and they are putting the hubs in the rear in. You can email me or call me if you need details. 4143557005
